2 Basketball Skills that Gain Respect

DEFENSE:

Besides scoring, stopping people from scoring is the name of the game.  And not just your man.  Helping your teammates with there man is important too.  Other players appreciate someone who plays good defense.  Thats s one way you will gain respect from other basketball players.  Maybe you’re not a good shooter and thats ok as long as you play smart, effective defense.

PASSING:

Looking to find the open man for a score is a skill not used often.  Be different!  When you get a defensive rebound push the basketball to find the open man.  The defense is usually scattered when the pace is pushed.  Its a good way to get teammates easy shots and gain their respect.  Players will like playing with you because you make the game easier for others.
