5 Reasons Not to Argue with Basketball Official

yellThere is enough to worry about during a basketball game. Arguing with the <a href="http://2017-18 NFHS Basketball Rules Book“>official is one way to disrupt your team’s focus.

Here are 5 reasons you shouldn’t argue with <a href="http://How to Be Better At Basketball in 21 days: The Ultimate Guide to Drastically Improving Your Basketball Shooting, Passing and Dribbling Skills (Basketball in Black&White)“>basketball officials.

1. The call you’re arguing about is not going to be reversed. Officials call what they see not what they think.

2. Its a waste of energy. That energy you spend arguing could be used to play defense. Also you want positive energy around your team.

3. There’s a 98% chance that you’re wrong. It’s hard for players to make accurate judgments in the heat of the moment. Officials can see the whole picture.  And remember they have to try and look around players to make a call.

4. Most of the time you’re arguing with the official because of your own lack of basketball talent. It’s easy to get mad when you can’t perform the way you want.

5. Winning is hard in basketball! You can’t expect every game to go your way. An official may not make a call in your favor but it’s something you’ll have to fight through if you want a chance to win.
